This means that each artist must be booked for a minimum of 2 hours for your event but can stay for as long as you need them (and that their availability allows).
Sorry, but no. They must be consecutive hours. For example, an artist can't be booked for 2 hours but that you would have them stop drawing for an hour in between, resulting in them being there for 3 hours. Each artist is paid for the time that they're there.
Also, if you book for 2 consecutive hours, you can't have a different artist for each hour. Each artist must be booked for a minimum of 2 hours.
Each artist can typically draw 10-12 black and white drawings or 6-8 color drawings in an hour. Their speed depends greatly on how quickly your guests can be in their drawing chair. It's highly recommended that you provide them with someone dedicated to tending the line.
They will always have their own paper and bags to make sure your guests never go home with "soggy souvenirs."
Both Jerry and Bryan have been drawing caricatures at live events for many years. They know how to keep each guest engaged while they're being drawn.
Please provide each artist with 2 chairs (one for the artist, one for the guest being drawn) as well as an electrical outlet for use during an indoor event. Also, you should provide a shaded area for the artist(s) in case of an outdoor event.
If you know that you will have a line of guests waiting to be drawn, it is highly recommended that you provide the artist(s) with someone dedicated to tending the line. The quicker guests can be seated and drawn, the more people each artist can draw.
First, pick which artist you'd like to work with. You can view Jerry Gaylord's samples or Bryan Turner's samples to choose. Once you've chosen, use their individual contact information provided on their pages to see if they're available and how much it would cost. They will need specific information regarding your event in order to create a contract.
When you get a contract, please be sure to check that all information on the contract is correct before signing. Typically, a deposit of half the total cost is due upon signing the contract in order to hold the date (unless otherwise agreed upon by you and the artist). The balance will be due the day of the event.
Jerry and Bryan work with each other at events all the time so if you need 2 artists, they will both be there if at all possible. In the event that one of them is unavailable, they will do what they can to make sure you get as many artists as you need for your event. They've been doing caricatures long enough that they have contacts with other artists in the area.
Jerry and Bryan handle payment for their events individually. If you book Jerry Gaylord, then he will let you know which methods of payments he accepts and how to send them. If you book Bryan Turner, he will let you know how he handles payment for his events.

"We had such a fantastic day yesterday with Jerry. He was amazing and I would highly recommend him to others. He was punctual, professional and flexible. He did a wonderful job capturing each boy in their caricature...Thanks for making an 8-year-old's day!"
